What do you like about being Latina?
Being Latina is Lit! We do everything with emphasis. We laugh, hug, dance, kiss, cry and smile with meaning...and very loudly. We have strong family roots, blood is truly thicker than water in our households which is a blessing. Also, we are BILINGUAL which is a treasure in this society since we are not only able to talk to anyone but also understand multiple cultures.
What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?
I sing and dance all day every day, it makes me extremely happy! I am not great singer, but I am a good dancer =)What are your favorite colors and outfits that make up most of your closet?
I don’t have favorite colors because I love to change all the time, I would like a color for a couple of weeks and be over it all the sudden and move on to the next trend/color. I do like to experiment with different colors and patterns to take my style to the next level.
What trends are big in your city?
LA’s fashion is truly unique, and I love it! We have perfect weather year-round, we got the Hollywood glam and have awesome beaches, so we pretty much get to wear whatever makes us happy and represents ourselves. But I would say that we love to mix glam + comfort, if you look at the big LA influencers like Chiara Ferragni or Aimee Song you are going to notice that they wear suits with tennis shoes or ripped jeans with high end shoes. So LA is all about mixing styles that normally would not go together, which is super fun to style.
What is your favorite brand/designer? What do you like about that brand?
I really like Revolve and NastyGal, I think their clothing lines are always on point with quality and trends. They don’t sell what the others are selling, they are truly original and their social media presence is so entertaining that I can’t stop following!
Which actresses or models do you believe have the best style?
I really like Camila Coelho because she rocks every single trend, from tennis shoes with ripped jeans to designer gowns.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years and what are your goals?
Inspiring young women to be who they want to be, live be their own rules! I believe in having a strong individual style to enable self-expression! Which is the message that I want to share with the rest of the world. I would to love to expand my own eCommerce store “The Posh Femme” - theposhfemme.com (IG @ThePoshFemme) my Feminist brand, where I sell affordable dresses, apparel, shoes, purses, accessories, phone cases, sandals and drink-ware. I built this store because I believe that every fashion item can be source to declare identity and empowerment. I work every day to create and bring compelling products for trendsetters, fashion-forward and vocal women with a bold sense of humor and style.
