What do you like about being Latina?

What’s there not to love? I take pride in our strong culture, conserving my maternal tongue but more than anything our unique values and qualities.

What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?

I’m so busy I have 5 agendas/planners to make life possible! (Full time College student, Personal banker, board member of a non-profit and pageants/modeling).

What are your favorite colors and outfits that make up most of your closet?

Fave colors: Maroon and mustard yellow

Outfits that make up closet: Definitely Blazers! I have about 30 (working at a bank probs)

What trends are big in your city?

I come from a small town where there isn’t really any trends but Bay Area speaking anything denim.

What is your favorite brand/designer? What do you like about that brand?

I’m not too big on brands but I’d have to say Zara! Great quality, great clothing.

Which actresses or models do you believe have the best style?

Without a doubt Olivia Culpo, Ximena Navarrete, and Alessandra Ambrosio.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years and what are your goals?

Short term: internship with Telemundo or Univision, while going to school/ working

Long term: obtain a bachelors degree in Political Science, law school and then with gods will become a successful immigration lawyer

When I say that I am Latina it is a great pride because we are very happy people, we have no problem living with new people, I love that we Latinas are strong in character and especially that we are very independent women.

What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?

I like to stay firm in my goals until I achieve them, one of my dreams was to have my own brand of swimsuits and I got it. I have a bachelor’s degree in fashion design and that’s how my love for fashion and photography was born.

What are your favorite colors and outfits that make up most of your closet?

I do not really have to look in my closet to realize that the most predominant tones are red and black, I really love those colors! My clothing sets favorites are the ones i can use in the autumn through winter.

What trends are big in your city?

Embroidery is a very common trend in my city. These beautiful crafts are traditional in Guadalajara, Jalisco, and even though they are made by the magic hands of the Indians they make a simple garment look really beautiful.

What is your favorite brand/designer? What do you like about that brand?

Actually, I do not have a favorite clothing brand, my clothes are from different brands, I just look for comfort and a good finish on clothes.

Which actresses or models do you believe have the best style?

I love the style of Pamela Allier, I think she is a great example in the world of fashion

Where do you see yourself in 5 years and what are your goals?

If God allows me, I see myself with my brand of swimwear more positioned in the market and reaching every goal I want to achieve with my family, they always support me and motivate me in every step I take.

The real question is what don't I love about being Latina. Our culture, our beliefs, Absolutely everything! We help one another and support each other in every aspect. We chase our dreams, y le echamos ganas a todo!

What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?

I am actually a very shy person at first! I know its hard to believe! But once I get comfortable around you. Get Ready!

What are your favorite colors and outfits that make up most of your closet?

I am a very colorful person, one day you'll see me with black and the next day you could see me wearing a bright yellow outfit. I love trying new colors.

What trends are big in your city?

Texas is all about cowgirl boots, you can never go wrong with boots.

What is your favorite brand/designer? What do you like about that brand?

My favorite brand at the moment has to be Miss Lola! She was an immigrant who everyone doubted but she never gave up. Now she runs a great company with the cutest shoes and outfits! They are to die for.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years and what are your goals?

If God permits me, I would love to dedicate myself full time to being an influencer. Motivating young girls has always been my dream. Having my own business, and being happy is very important!

What do you like about being Latina?

What I love the most about being Latina is the cultural richness that exists in my country, as well as the endless number of beautiful places you can visit, such as: stunning white sand beaches, museums, magical towns, archaeological sites, mountains, etc. And gastronomy not to mention, we have a variety of delicious food, such as tacos, enchiladas, chilaquiles, pozole, cakes, etc. Something that represents us a lot is the traditional music, the marichi, the band, the traditional dance of each state, and to end the customs, something that unites us to all the Mexican society, those days full of fun, love and peace; Mexicans always identify us as united people, extremely hardworking, kind and supportive.

What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?

That I am a person with very sensitive feelings, things affect me very quickly, I can let go of crying for things that others can see very simple; I rather see this as a defect because I do not like it to affect me so much, because it does not do me any good.

What are your favorite colors and outfits that make up most of your closet?

My favorite colors are black, red and lilac, that most of my closet has more outfits of warm colors, I like colorful, I feel that we all benefit and the most important thing that can change the mood of anybody and I'm also a fan of outfits with prints.

What is your favorite brand/designer? What do you like about that brand?

My favorite brands are Cloe, as it is one of the best Mexican brands and their designs are inspired by the daily life of both women and men, their products are of very good quality and their prices are accessible; Steve Madden, because his designs are very original and is aimed at young women like me, besides being of very good quality, the costs are not high and it is a very recognized brand worldwide and finally, Forever 21, because his designs of clothes are very creative and fun, they have a wide variety of styles, both accessories, casual wear, formal, swimwear, beachwear and footwear.

Which actresses or models do you believe have the best style?

Undoubtedly my favorite is a Mexican called Lulu Pantoja, has a style so unique, flirtatious and simple at the same time, apart from being beautiful both physically and in his person. My second favorite is an American model named Olivia Culpo, I love it because it does not have a single style, it varies and that catches my attention, in it I can find styles as well as elegant, casual, beach, etc.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years and what are your goals?

I have always thought that in a second everything can change, my perspective, my desires and my dreams; Today I would be traveling around the world, collaborating and being the image of one or several brands. One of my goals is to be a great Influencer and get to do several advertising campaigns with different brands. And for the second, create my own brand, I still do not have a well defined cheese factory, but I have three ideas and I hope I can create at least one. My main goal is to inspire both women and men to pursue their dreams, not give up and think that this life comes with an end and that goal is fulfilled dreams, with effort, passion and dedication can be met , definitely.

I came to America when I was 3. I am an undocumented immigrant and I don't let that stop me. It actually fuels my work ethic.

Orange, yellow and red.

Not much of a brand person but @resistlikeflower is cool.

On an island changing the world through my phone. My goal is to make my companies succeed so every immigrant child out there see's that anything is possible regardless of your legal status. YOU CAN RUN THE WORLD.

What do you like about being Latina?

I love how close we are with our families and our culture, Hispanic culture is unique, authentic and we are taught from a young age to keep our traditions alive. Our food is amazing, regardless from where it comes and of course our music is like no other. We are born with rhythm and I love that!

What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?

I am super shy! It may not seem like it in my photos but blogging has really helped me.

What are your favorite colors and outfits that make up most of your closet?

I love neutrals, since I live in Florida where it’s hot all year long. I love to wear white.

What trends are big in your city?

Right now, lots of summer dresses and two piece sets.

What is your favorite brand/designer? What do you like about that brand?

I love Christian Louboutin, ever since I bought my first pair of heels I was hooked. They are very stylish and well that red heel goes unnoticed everywhere you go.

Which actresses or models do you believe have the best style?

Jennifer Lopez has great style, I love that she can wear a gorgeous red carpet gown but also have a very casual style and still look put together.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years and what are your goals?

My goal is to make my blog a full time job, traveling more and spending lots of time with my son who is growing up way too fast.

What do you like about being Latina?

I love everything about being Latina, especially that everyone assumes that I'm a great dancer (I'm not—haha!) I'm bilingual in Spanish, my parents made sure that we learned to read and write it growing up, and that has allowed me to connect and create shared experiences with so many other Latin cultures, other than just my own.

What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?

I started doing pageantry about a year and a half ago; first I was Mrs. Syracuse and now I'm Mrs. New York. I'll be competing for Mrs. America on August 25th in Las Vegas. Anybody who meets me in "pageant mode" as I call it, is always surprised to find out that I'm a veteran and served in the U.S. Army New York National Guard. For some reason, they can't picture me running around with a rifle and getting dirty.

What are your favorite colors and outfits that make up most of your closet?

I'm from New York City and lived there for the majority of my life, so my go-to color is always black. I've started to branch out more in the last few years to include more pastel and bright colors in my wardrobe, but for some reason, fall palettes are always my favorite! My standard fall outfit is black skinny jeans, booties or knee-length boots of some sort, a loose tee and a leather jacket.

What trends are big in your city?

Bracelets — lots and lots of bracelets. Bell sleeves also seem to be a popular thing right now.

What is your favorite brand/designer? What do you like about that brand?

I have lots of favorite brands and designers. We could be here for a while... but my daily outfits seem to consist of a lot of Ralph Lauren. Simple but elegant with lots of straight lines and lots of navy blue.

Which actresses or models do you believe have the best style?

Angelina Jolie, Kate Beckinsale and Victoria Beckham. I think they all always look elegant, chic and never try too hard to be trendy. They're all very classic, yet current, with their wardrobe choices.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years and what are your goals?

In the next five years I'd like to finally complete my master's degree, launch my own business and have my first child. Hopefully in that order! My parents continually hint at all three of those things.

What do you like about being Latina?

I love our culture, strength and sense of community. Latinas are notorious for their passion and I think that is a beautiful thing.

What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?

In high school, I created a mentoring program for young girls designed to teach key goal setting techniques; heavily highlighting the importance of writing. I started drafting “Girls with Goals” as a freshman, and worked on this project for four years. As a senior, my program received national recognition from the US Secretary of Defense, in addition to earning the Girl Scout Gold Award, which is only received by 5.4% of eligible Girl Scouts. It was the most amazing experience and I plan to reinstate the program soon!

What are your favorite colors and outfits that make up most of your closet?

I wear a LOT of black and a lot of red. I am always in heels; I alternate between nude tippy top pageant shoes and knee high boots! I always pair that with crop tops, jeans, leggings or shorts.

What trends are big in your city?

Detroit-ers have natural talent for creativity and business. So, between all the artist, musicians, chefs, mixologists, and entrepreneurs; Growth and development have become defining trends of Detroit.

What is your favorite brand/designer? What do you like about that brand?

Versace and Tom Ford! I have an overall admiration for both designers.

Which actresses or models do you believe have the best style?

Sofia Vergara, everything about her is so beautiful and I love that she is always smiling!

Where do you see yourself in 5 years and what are your goals?

My ultimate goal is to create a life I don’t need a vacation from. Intentionally, my job is my life. I love working freelance. Being contracted by multiple agencies as a commercial, print, and promotional model has allowed me to expand into other areas of the industry. Whether it is as an automotive product specialist or state bikini pageant director, I love being able to travel nationally, while exploring different opportunities to have fun and work at the same time. In 5 years I plan to still be working in front of and behind the camera, but with noticeable growth!
