ABOUT ZAPPOS

Zappos.com is an online shoe and clothing shop founded in 1999 by Nick Swinmurn and it is based in Las Vegas, Nevada. Originally named ShoeSite.com, the company changed its name to Zappos (a variation of “zapatos,” the Spanish word for “shoes”) in order to expand its business from shoes to accessories and more. In July 2009, Amazon.com acquired Zappos in its totality. Zappos continues to maintain its independence and business practices, particularly in their passion for customer satisfaction.
