What do you like about being Latina?
I love EVERYTHING about being Latina! Anytime anyone asks me what my background is and I tell them Puerto Rico I say it with such confidence because I am just so proud of where I come from. Latina women are known to be strong and to have a little extra sazón and I just love having that fire inside of me and representing such a diverse group of women. We have curves, we don't have curves, we have brown hair, brown eyes, we have blonde hair, blue eyes - Latina women can all literally look so different and it's a beautiful thing.
What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?
Aside from my friends, a lot of people don't know that I like to write and I have my own blog which is influenced by Hip-Hop/R&B music and street wear. I've gotten comments on some of my posts where people actually think it's a guy writing and I think it's so funny.
What are your favorite colors and outfits that make up most of your closet?
My favorite color is red but the majority of my closet is black. I keep it very simple when it comes to my style but I do like to add pops of color wherever I can.
What trends are big in your city?
In New York City, BLACK is a timeless trend - it's easy yet sophisticated, you can never go wrong with an all black outfit. You do have people who step out of the box and dress funky but more times than none I would say people like to be comfortable in the city.
What is your favorite brand/designer? What do you like about that brand?
My favorite brand is Balmain, it's both sexy and edgy.

Hailey Baldwin and Gizele Oliveira
Where do you see yourself in 5 years and what are your goals?
Wow, no matter how many times I'm asked that question it always stops me in my tracks. In 5 years I see myself with a family preferably back home in Puerto Rico, happy and doing everything I love. I like to think of myself as a "jack of all trades," I don't like to do just one thing. I would love to continue to model when I can, to write, to really have a successful website, to do brand consulting...but more than that, I just want God to use me as inspiration for others. Following your dreams is not always easy but with the right attitude and the right people behind you, anything is possible.
