What do you like about being Latina?

I am passionate, driven and strong and I feel that those are personality traits a lot of latina women carry. I love the fact that I was raised by latin women that are incredibly proud of their roots.

What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?

Even though I did my masters at Parsons School of Design, I originally wanted to go to Vet school.

What are your favorite colors and outfits that make up most of your closet?

White and pastels.

What trends are big in your city?

Bolivian women are incredibly feminine therefore we are big on color and textures.

What is your favorite brand/designer? What do you like about that brand?

I've always been a fan of Francisco Costa, Creative Director of Calvin Klein. I love how he shows elegance through simplicity.

Which actresses or models do you believe have the best style?

Sofia Vergara and Jennifer Lopez are the epitome of beautiful and strong latinas who break down industry walls. For them age is nothing but a number.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years and what are your goals?

Hopefully traveling the world

I feel lucky to be born in a Latin community and there are several reasons why. First of all, I get to be surrounded around warm/happy people, that work hard every day to achieve their goals and constantly care for their loved ones. With the pass of time I have noticed how friendly and supporting they can be regardless of the country they come from. Something that strong as our sense of unity, in my opinion, something very special that can only be found in the Latin community.

Second, there are many aspects of the Latin culture that I proudly enjoy in my daily life. For example, I love Latin music! In fact, I listen to it every single day (hahaha)and can’t get enough of it! Oh! And please don’t get me started on the food! I basically die for any type of Latin food: Mexican, Colombian, Cuban, Ecuadorian, etc…

What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?

Both of my parents are from China, but I was born in Ecuador. I speak three languages: Spanish, English and Chinese. When people hear me speaking Spanish they get surprised and most of them ask where did I learn to speak it so well.Also I am a foodie. I love food and I can confess that trying different kinds of cuisines makes me happy.

What are your favorite colors and outfits that make up most of your closet?

Some of my favorite colors are pink, purple, red, and gold but I don’t see much of them in my closet. However, most of my closet is black! I’m obsessed with that color when it comes to clothes.

My closet has a little bit of everything but bikinis and crop tops make up most of my closet. I can’t get enough of them.

What trends are big in your city?

It depends on each person’s style; Miami is a diverse city with people from all over the world. I have seen a lot of denim skirts, crop tops, bikinis, active wear and rompers around.In my personal opinion, Miami is bikini season 365 days of the year. Just add a pair of sunglasses and a cute cover up!

What is your favorite brand/designer? What do you like about that brand?

I would say some of my favorite brands/designers are Lulifama, Ale by Alessandra, Lover + Friends, Topshop and Forever 21. They have a varied piece of clothing to choose from and I love how their clothes fit my body.

Which actresses or models do you believe have the best style?

At the moment I am obsessed with Alexis Ren, Cindy Prado, Alejandra Ghersi and Renee Somerfield. They are all really talented and I love their style!

Where do you see yourself in 5 years and what are your goals?

In 5 years, I want to cross out some items from my bucket list such as owning a small successful business, traveling around the world (especially to exotic places), growing my Instagram audience and hopefully inspire others the way I have been inspired by current Bloggers/Influencers.

What do you like about being Latina?

As I get older I learn to love being Latina more and more. When I was younger I hated the fact that I was different than all of my American peers whose families only spoke English. However, now as an adult I love all of the opportunities it gives me. I speak another language, I can understand and empathize with most cultures and their differences, and that I have been raised to love and give all that I have. I think being a mujer Latina means strength, power and love and I don’t think there’s anything more beautiful than that.

What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?

Even though I work in fashion, love clothes, and am a former Wilhelmina model, I think the thing that most surprises people about me is that I used to professionally race cars. To this day, my father and I will travel on weekends to various car races and beat all of the boys.

What are your favorite colors and outfits that make up most of your closet?

I usually like to keep things simple. I try to match neutral colors with one pop of color to stand out. I would say my closet consists of mostly black/grey/white/tan with the occasional loud print or bright color to add a little bit of life.

What trends are big in your city?

Naturally NYC is known for its all black no matter what season it might be. However, I think lately people are trying to break out of that trend and give a little more color and life to the sidewalks of New York. Walking to my office in Bryant Park, I have been seeing a lot more outstanding prints and pops of colors in most people’s outfits.

What is your favorite brand/designer? What do you like about that brand?

I may be a little biased because I work for headquarters, but lately I’ve really learned to love Michael Kors RTW. Seeing how much work and detail goes into the entire garment making process, I’ve really appreciated the pieces that come out of it. I love brands and designers that focus on fits. I think a piece can be beautiful but if it doesn’t fit the woman like it is supposed to, it isn’t desirable.

Which actresses or models do you believe have the best style?

Kaia Gerber. She comes from an empire of fashion icons and seems to just be continuing that legacy.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years and what are your goals?

I currently run Production for Michael Kors Women’s RTW. I also competed in January for the title of Miss New York USA and finished in the Top 19 and was also awarded Miss Congeniality. I plan to compete again this year as well as for the title of Miss Long Island. I hope that in five years I have accomplished one of my many dreams as either becoming more senior in the fashion corporate field or using the title of Miss New York to start my own business venture.

What do you like about being Latina?

What I love about being Latina is the passion that we have, our hot-bloodedness that we are known for. Being a Latina is such an honor because we are passionate about everything in life. You know if a Latino is in your life they are there for you no matter what.

What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?

I don't know how to cook! People expect me to have all these great Mexican recipes but the only thing I know how to make are dinner reservations!

What are your favorite colors and outfits that make up most of your closet?

My favorite color is black because it’s just a classic color, and it goes with every other color. I also love pink and brown. They are colors that are always on trend.

What trends are big in your city?

Jeans! They are everywhere and it doesn’t matter which age or social class you are everyone wears them here! I also see denim more than ever because now you can see the fabric in jackets or even shoes.

What is your favorite brand/designer? What do you like about that brand?

I love Calvin Klein because their clothes are just fabulous! The brand represents my personality a lot, it’s classic with just a touch of trendy. Plus the quality is always the best.

For accessories I love Louis Vuitton, Burberry and D&G.

Which actresses or models do you believe have the best style?

I think Victoria Beckham who is absolutely fabulous and Leighton Meester from Gossip Girl are great examples of who I base my fashion style from. They have this classic look that never goes out of fashion.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years and what are your goals?

In 5 years I see myself as an international fashion blogger, supporting the international global trends, growing my social networks, meeting fashion designers, traveling a lot with my husband and hopefully creating a business focused on fashion.

Everything. The music, art, traditions and our passion for everything we do.

What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?

I think that all the people that follow me know about my love for the circus, I really want to join one or play an act at least once. It's my dream and I've been practicing aerial silks for 3 years and stills for 1 year.

What are your favorite colors and outfits that make up most of your closet?

Black. It goes with EVERYTHING, also I love red and blue.

What trends are big in your city?

I don't really know, I think I'm not the kind of girl that's always in the lookout for them.

What is your favorite brand/designer? What do you like about that brand?

I love everything about Apparel K, their designs are just so cool and unique. My favorite is the matcha sweater.

Hopefully finishing my career and still doing what I love (aerial silks), with a job that involves my art.

It's Miami so it's always bikini season! Sexy swimwear, velvet swimwear, statement one pieces, and colorful cover-ups.

Louis Vuitton the brand is a classic that never goes out of style. I love how it can make any outfit look more elegant.

Yves Saint Laurent I love their bags, they're perfect for a work day, special event, movie night & cocktails.

Gucci because it's a brand of simplicity and style.

Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid & Kourtney Kardashian

In 5 years my goal is to have a successful online clothing boutique.

What do you like about being Latina?

Everything. I love the food, the people, our traditions and culture. Most importantly, I love the strong family bonds.

What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?

That I am not studying anything related to fashion. I actually study corporate finance.

What are your favorite colors and outfits that make up most of your closet?

Black makes half of my closet. Black makes me feel more stylish and thinner (LOL). However, I love to wear different colors as well, specially during spring and summer. Colorful clothes give that happy twist to my black basic pieces.

What trends are big in your city?

Right now, I am living in Tampa. It is a coast city so anything summer-ish is trendy.

What is your favorite brand/designer? What do you like about that brand?

Gucci. The way they combine classic designs with a twist of edgy details represents my personal style.

Which actresses or models do you believe have the best style?

Actually, I do not follow any actresses or models fashion. I prefer to follow other bloggers because they have a better sense of what is wearable in an everyday situation. My favorite blogger is Negin Mirsalehi.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years and what are your goals?

Working for banking or equity. After that, my dream job will be working as a finance analyst for a fashion company.

I love our culture, our music, and our food.

What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?

That even though I am strong woman, I am very sensible. Music is like therapy to me, I love to listen to music depending on my mood.

My closet is full of color. I love dresses, pants, skirts and shorts, I believe I’m very versatile with my style.

Big earrings, two piece sets, florals and colorful dresses.

I really love Ann Taylor. It’s totally my style and it has outfits for so many different types of occasions.

I love Penelope Cruz, she has amazing style and is always perfection on the red carpet. Her street style is also amazing, simple but with style. She is also beautiful.

I see myself continuing with my blog. I love to inspire other woman with my looks. I like to help them mix and match the pieces they have in their closet.

What do you like about being Latina?

What’s there not to love? The fire food, the music, the loud family parties. We are blessed with rhythm, practically born knowing how to dance. Straight out of the womb we are breaking it down to salsa and reggaeton. The Latina attitude is like no other, we are raised to become our best self and aspire to become someone in life. Especially those who had parents migrate from a hispanic country to the U.S. in search of a better future.

What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?

I love to read and I am addicted to watching TV shows. I watch Netflix while working out, driving, showering, getting ready to go out and etc. It’s a problem lol.

What are your favorite colors and outfits that make up most of your closet?

My favorite color used to be black, but now it is a mix. If I had to choose a go-to color at the moment, it would actually be white. Big change, I know!

What trends are big in your city?

In Miami there is such a wide variety of trends. We are surrounded by people of many different cultures and style. It’s pretty amazing, I love when I go out and I see different outfits put together, I get ideas for myself.

What is your favorite brand/designer? What do you like about that brand?

Honestly, what I buy mostly that is designer are handbags, and my favorites at the moment are Gucci, YSL and Chloe.

Which actresses or models do you believe have the best style?

The Kardashians all the way….. They look bomb 24/7. Even when it’s a simple outfit; jeans with a white long sleeve and heels. They make it look so fab. They definitely inspire my closet and style. Also Vanessa Hudgens, I love her boho style.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years and what are your goals?

In 5 years I hope to be working as a news reporter in a local TV station, have bought my own apartment, and have risen my blog to fame.
