What do you like about being Latina?

First, I love that being Latina makes me different in any setting. By standing out, it gives me the opportunity to share my experiences and educate others about our culture. Second, I love how prideful and rich our culture is. From traditions to the food, to the music, and the people, Latinos take pride in everything we have and everything we are. Last, I love how go-getter we are. We are willing to break barriers and push boundaries all to have a better life.

What are your favorite colors and outfits that make up most of your closet?

I incorporate a little bit from all sorts of styles but mostly my closet consists of neutral colors and basic pieces that I can reuse and style in any season and in different settings. Although, I do still have those pops of textures and colors that I can incorporate in a look depending on what I’m going for and on the season.

What trends are big in your city?

Since it’s still winter in Minnesota, faux fur, white boots, track pants, and long jackets are still very much in. And of course, flannel too. I mean this is the Mid-West LOL.

What is your favorite brand/designer? What do you like about that brand?

For the High-End I love Gucci and Versace. They have this sort of regal streetwear vibe that’s perfect for special occasions but also for everyday wear. Their accessories the last couple of seasons have also been so unique and honestly my favorites. For more affordable, I love ZARA for trendy, quality pieces and Target for everyday or casual wear.

Which actresses or models do you believe have the best style?

So many good ones but I love Kim Kardashian, Emma Watson, Emma Roberts, Jennifer Lopez, and Tammy Hembrow.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years and what are your goals?

In five years, I hope to inspire women by showing them that it is possible to have it all if they are willing to work hard. I hope to have a thriving career, a house, children of my own, a loving marriage, and time to continue to pursue my passions in beauty fashion.

What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?

Though I love fashion and beauty, I also love Harry Potter. I’m a huge Harry Potter Nerd. I own all the movies, all the books, a wand, a scarf, and a sweater.

What do you like about being Latina?

Being a Latina and a Millennial, I have the best of both worlds. I absolutely love my culture (food, art, and language). I am able to connect with many people and have a great level of understanding for diverse cultures. I grew up in a Spanish only speaking household and went to an English only speaking school. I grew up embracing my Latina heritage, thankfully, because of my wonderful mother and grandmother, who took the time to make sure I grew up not only being bilingual but also multicultural.

What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?

After a recent enlightening ancestral DNA test, many were surprised (myself included) when I found out that I am 16% Nigerian, 19% Spaniard, 25% Greek, 15% Irish, and 20% Native American! Being a Latina is not only being from one place, but being a melting pot of history.

What trends are big in your city?

Athleisure is a really popular trend right now in Orlando. Adidas and a dad baseball cap with heels tends to be perfect attire for date nights for any occasion, even Netflix and chill. Haha.

What is your favorite brand/designer? What do you like about that brand?

I am a sucker for Chanel, and Lululemon. Vintage Chanel pieces are made with such amazing quality and detail that they last a life time, if not, more. It makes any outfit look classy and well put together. I truly love how consistent they are with their brand management and style.
With Lululemon, you can wear their famous black leggings dressed up or down. I Travel a lot. So having leggings that I can workout with, wear to parties, or go into meetings without looking too casual, is a plus. They have amazing quality that lasts a long time!

Which actresses or models do you believe have the best style?

Camila Coelho is my idol. She is the definition of a multicultural Latina that embraces her culture, as well as, others. Her high sense of style is unbeatable. I get a lot of my ideas from her. She is so healthy and an amazing spokesperson for our Latina community!

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I see myself connecting with more Latinas and becoming a face for Latina millennials. I really think that in that audience segment we are truly missing a voice and a face. Social media has made it much easier to connect with other like-minded people.

What are your favorite colors that make up most of your closet?

I always have to have a primary color on. In art school I learned the importance of color and the color wheel. I always stick to primaries including yellows, reds, and blues!
You can never go wrong with a pair of fitted pants, a light loosed and airy shirt (tucked-in only in the front), a statement belt, or throwing on a fedora. Oh, and don’t forget the jewelry! Statement pieces make up any outfit.

What trends are big in your city?

Minneapolis is a very Scandinavian city and you can definitely see the influence in the design around the city, the architecture and of course the clothing. And I am totally into it because it is so minimalistic and clean.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I just started the Minneapolis Blogger Union and it has been such a great thing in the Twin Cities, so I want to keep nourishing it. I’m the kind of woman that wants it all, so I see myself with a baby, running my businesses (blog and blogger union) and excelling at my full time job at Target. .
