What do you like about being Latina?

I feel deeply fortunate to be born in a Latin country, in a beautiful culture that values its traditions and puts its family above all else. Latinos have a wide gastronomic variety, I definitely love Colombia, its people, its landscapes, its food. What I like the most about being a Latina is that we are always characterized by an entrepreneurial attitude.

What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?

Actually I am a very extroverted, cheerful, spontaneous person but when I just enter into trust with a person I usually seem shy, believe it or not. but that's just a matter of establishing a communication and you will really know me as I am, a calm, loving, humble, uncomplicated girl.

What are your favorite colors and outfits that make up most of your closet?

My favorite colors are black, camel, gray, white, red. I have a formal, casual style. I love being in the forefront of fashion and new trends.

What trends are big in your city?

The tendencies of this moment are the strong colors, the stripes, the coats in pastel shades, the camel color is also a great protagonist of this seasons. Yes, a simple style but always with a touch of fashion.

What is your favorite brand/designer? What do you like about that brand?

I love many brands, for example Gucci (shoes) Carolina Herrera (I love their clothes) Salvatore ferragamo (glasses) I love all their designs, exclusive, very fashionable and of course my clothing brand, Malena.

Which actresses or models do you believe have the best style?

I love the style of @pamela_rf @dulceida @laura_tobon @putips @neelejay.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years and what are your goals?

If God allows me, I will have a physical store of my clothing brand MALENA, and many franchises nationally and internationally. I like the media so I intend to reach the best television channels in my country and why not another. I currently work in a financial education company so in this field I will be the best and meet all my goals in the medium. lastly, I will continue to grow and improve as digital influencer.

What do you like about being Latina?

The question is a little abstract perhaps ... It is difficult to give an answer to a question that alludes to your natural condition. I am just me, and I love being the way I am, my indigenous roots, my skin color, the contrast of my face, my sensuality. I think that's how we all Latinas are, we have a special flavor.

What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?

I can become extremely shy in some situations. In addition to that, I am very self-critical, I usually think about things so many times that it ended up scattering haha, something that even though a little crazy, it also makes my life more fun.

What are your favorite colors and outfits that make up most of your closet?

I especially love the plain colors and I greatly enjoy the power of classic tones, especially white and black.

As for my wardrobe, uff ... it's full of pants, from jeans to skirts, my next priority is shoes, I love them, I just love them, but if there's one thing I really enjoy is my lingerie, and the power that has to enhance the sexy and the beautiful thing about being a woman.

What trends are big in your city?

One of the things that has had more trending so far this year is the plain makeup and very loose clothing, with some neckline, enough color, stripes and many flowers. Basically, a very sporty style, we are a tropical country. However, for no one is a surprise that fashion is not the first priority of our people, although the Venezuelan woman always makes magic to look beautiful despite the unfortunate reality we are living.

What is your favorite brand/designer? What do you like about that brand?

I have many (laughs), but buying designer clothes here is very difficult, unless you have a lot, a lot of money. If I tell you about my favorites, how could I not mention our Carolina Herrera fashion emblem, I also love the work that Carol Ginter is doing, I LOVE her designs, they are a perfect description of the strong, bold, flirtatious, Caribbean woman and Venezuelan.

Which actresses or models do you believe have the best style?

I love the style of Gaby Espino, another great representative of ours. I also love the styles of Gal Gadot and Emily Ratajkowski.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years and what are your goals?

In charge of my own business or perhaps with my own brand, I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit. I am an industrial engineer and work as a project manager and web analyst in ICT (Information and Communication Technologies), I love what I do, and why I could not make this my own long-term business.

I love the culture, the food is so good and honestly Mexicans are amazing!

I am a super picky person but... When someone needs me I swear I will always help them.

I love black, everything in black, I feel black is classy and you can literally use it with everything, mom jeans, bodysuits, crop tops.

What trends are big in your city?

Snake boots, mom jeans, and cowboy boots.

MY fave is moschino because they have a special touch, I love how the pieces can be different and unique from each other.

I love Zendaya, Shay Mitchell, Adriána Lima, Dua Lipa, Desi Perkins.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years and what are your goals?

I'm currently working as a model in an agency, my dream is to be a supermodel.

I had many obstacles in my professional life; people in my country do not appreciate art or modeling so I had to come to the United States to prove luck.

What do you like about being Latina?

Among all the great qualities and characteristics in the Latino community, the thing I love the most is our culture and heritage! It is so vibrant and deep. Being a Latina means we carry that energy and optimism wherever we go! Being able to carry this identity and traits are truly a blessing.

What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?

People would be surprised to know that I am majoring in two Bachelor degrees, at two different Universities, at the same time! I swear I am more than what you get on social media, and quite of an introvert in person too! I am majoring in Accounting and Business Communications at University of Puerto Rico and in Exercise of Science and Health Promotion in University of Sagrado Corazón. Reading and learning are one of my favorite things! I believe education is a universal key and I love both areas, so why not both?!

What are your favorite colors and outfits that make up most of your closet?

My favorite colors are definitely spring tones! I love wearing basic pieces, layering them and giving it a little sparkle with some makeup, heels, purse and great accessories from @Sweetlemon_PR. My favorite Go to brands right now are from @LaGlorianaBtq and @Sweetlemon_PR.

What trends are big in your city?

Here in Puerto Rico, it is ALWAYS summer! That is why even in fall, we have Caribbean touches to our wardrobe. We wear cute hats, boots and trendy items that go along with our Caribbean weather but keep us fashion ready!

What is your favorite brand/designer? What do you like about that brand?

My favorite designers would have to be 3! I just CANNOT choose! I admire @CouvertierMyrna since I was in my teenage years. Her daughter @EstelaCouvertier is a young entrepreneur who definitely deserves to be on the spotlight too! Also, @Jocelyn_DelgadoPR has always supported me and allowed me to be part of amazing collections. They truly are all my favorites in the industry.

Which actresses or models do you believe have the best style?

I ADORE Zendaya! I even met her once in person and she is the most kind and humble person, I swear! Anything she wears just makes a fashion trend! She is a great example that it is not just about what/who you wear, it’s all about how you wear it and confidence is the key!

Where do you see yourself in 5 years and what are your goals?

Five years from now, I see myself being a Motivational Speaker and also giving back to the community through my brand: FitWays by Raishmar Carrillo. Ever since I entered the Miss Puerto Rico Petite Beauty Pageant, I realized the power of social media to share my voice and my story to make a difference in other people’s lives. I believe in giving back to where I come from, and my life purpose is to use the tools I have to motivate and help foster care kids and society in general.

What do you like about being Latina?

I love how Latinas are born with that sexy-spicy flavor when it comes to attitude and personality. I love how we can play both the sexy and classy role / how we definitely fit with “brains and beauty”, how naturally feminine we are and how we know to separate and distinguish gender roles in a society. No matter where the Latina is from, we all have that accent that makes guys turn their head around! You gotta love Latinas…

What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?

I’m single and have been single for many years- believe it or not. I must be a little bit ‘loca’

What are your favorite colors and outfits that make up most of your closet?

I go by: “A black dress will always suit your needs”- I have to admit most of my clothes are black. Heels are a MUST and cute colorful garments (depending on the season ).

What trends are big in your city?

In Guadalajara, you go by : “Dress to impress”. It is a city where people treat you based on your appearance, so people tend to show off by dressing preppy with style and using designers’ purses.

What is your favorite brand/designer? What do you like about that brand?

I don’t have a favorite brand nor designer. But I guess every girl LOVES Gucci, don’t we?’

Which actresses or models do you believe have the best style?

I admire two Mexican actresses, Eiza Gonzalez and Salma Hayek. I love their style and elegant appearance – it is worth mentioning that these two women are super talented and beautiful from the inside out.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years and what are your goals?

Married or at least in a long-term relationship and working in my personal projects. Having shot big commercials for tv- appeared on series, and being an influencer for teenagers. I’d also like to own a coffee shop (similar to Urth Caffe in LA)

What do you like about being Latina?

What I like the most about being Latina is our unique culture, in Puerto Rico and worldwide.

What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?

What people would be surprised to know about me is that I am a young woman capable of doing everything to give love and hope to others.

What are your favorite colors and outfits that make up most of your closet?

The color and the sets that make up most of my closet is blue. I love to dress with a lot of layers.

If we had 24 hours in your city, where would you take us?

People love to visit the Hipódromo Camarero. There is also the house of the first native governor of Puerto Rico, elected by the people, named Jesús T. Piñero. One of the largest sugar factories in Puerto Rico was in Canovanas, which was called Central Azucarera. You can also find the mall called the Outlets of Canóvanas.

What is your favorite brand/designer? What do you like about that brand?

My favorite designer brand is Playero. This brand is created in Puerto Rico. I love the style that distinguishes our Puerto Rican beaches and water sports.

Which actresses or models do you believe have the best style?

I have two favorite models, Zuleyka Rivera from Puerto Rico and Clarissa Molina from the Dominican Republic. Both are strong women and send a great message to society.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years and what are your goals?

In 5 years I see myself as a Therapist specialized in special Education or Psychiatry. I also want to work in media to send good messages to the youth. Finally, I want to create a non-profit foundation to share love and hope to society.

What do you like about being Latina?

I love everything about being Latina! I love how important family is in Latin culture. I have a huge family on both of my parents side, and every time I go to Brazil, I know there is food, party and a huge family waiting for me

What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?

Most people get really surprise when I start to speak Spanish. I graduated from college with a degree on World Languages, and i choose Spanish as my third language. Also, even though we speak Portuguese in Brazil, we Brazilians have a lot of facility in understanding Spanish. I also grew up watching Mexican novelas, so I have always wanted to be fluent in the language.

What are your favorite colors and outfits that make up most of your closet?

I love nude colors, although I have a lot of black dresses. Lately I been in love with floral dresses, I just want to wear them everywhere.

What trends are big in your city?

Here in Vegas, summer clothes are essential. Even with the end of summer, summer dresses and skirts are still very big in the city.

What is your favorite brand/designer? What do you like about that brand?

My favorite designer is Elie Saab. I absolutely love his dresses. He uses a lot of floral, lace, pearls, and I just love all of that.

Which actresses or models do you believe have the best style?

I love Blake Lively style. She is elegant, fashion, classic and beautiful. I love how she is not afraid to change her style, she goes from romantic to high fashion in a blink of an eye and I love it.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years and what are your goals?

five years from now, I see myself done with my Bachelors degree of International business, and hopefully working on the field that I choose.

What are your favorite fashion trends?

I’ve been noticing that Boho Chic look/trend be a little more popular in my city. I also see a lot of girls with floral prints, which is a big trend right now.

What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?

I think people would be surprised to know that I spend a lot of time by myself. I really do enjoy my “me” time.

What are your favorite colors and outfits that make up most of your closet?

Some of my favorite outfits would definitely have to be something casual and comfortable. I tend to wear a lot of black and grey for some reason. But I love bright colors too! I like to switch it up here and there and dress up.
