What do you like about being Latina?

What’s there not to love? I take pride in our strong culture, conserving my maternal tongue but more than anything our unique values and qualities.

What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?

I’m so busy I have 5 agendas/planners to make life possible! (Full time College student, Personal banker, board member of a non-profit and pageants/modeling).

What are your favorite colors and outfits that make up most of your closet?

Fave colors: Maroon and mustard yellow

Outfits that make up closet: Definitely Blazers! I have about 30 (working at a bank probs)

What trends are big in your city?

I come from a small town where there isn’t really any trends but Bay Area speaking anything denim.

What is your favorite brand/designer? What do you like about that brand?

I’m not too big on brands but I’d have to say Zara! Great quality, great clothing.

Which actresses or models do you believe have the best style?

Without a doubt Olivia Culpo, Ximena Navarrete, and Alessandra Ambrosio.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years and what are your goals?

Short term: internship with Telemundo or Univision, while going to school/ working

Long term: obtain a bachelors degree in Political Science, law school and then with gods will become a successful immigration lawyer

What I love the most about being Latina is the cultural richness that exists in my country, as well as the endless number of beautiful places you can visit, such as: stunning white sand beaches, museums, magical towns, archaeological sites, mountains, etc. And gastronomy not to mention, we have a variety of delicious food, such as tacos, enchiladas, chilaquiles, pozole, cakes, etc. Something that represents us a lot is the traditional music, the marichi, the band, the traditional dance of each state, and to end the customs, something that unites us to all the Mexican society, those days full of fun, love and peace; Mexicans always identify us as united people, extremely hardworking, kind and supportive.

What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?

That I am a person with very sensitive feelings, things affect me very quickly, I can let go of crying for things that others can see very simple; I rather see this as a defect because I do not like it to affect me so much, because it does not do me any good.

What are your favorite colors and outfits that make up most of your closet?

My favorite colors are black, red and lilac, that most of my closet has more outfits of warm colors, I like colorful, I feel that we all benefit and the most important thing that can change the mood of anybody and I'm also a fan of outfits with prints.

What is your favorite brand/designer? What do you like about that brand?

My favorite brands are Cloe, as it is one of the best Mexican brands and their designs are inspired by the daily life of both women and men, their products are of very good quality and their prices are accessible; Steve Madden, because his designs are very original and is aimed at young women like me, besides being of very good quality, the costs are not high and it is a very recognized brand worldwide and finally, Forever 21, because his designs of clothes are very creative and fun, they have a wide variety of styles, both accessories, casual wear, formal, swimwear, beachwear and footwear.

Which actresses or models do you believe have the best style?

Undoubtedly my favorite is a Mexican called Lulu Pantoja, has a style so unique, flirtatious and simple at the same time, apart from being beautiful both physically and in his person. My second favorite is an American model named Olivia Culpo, I love it because it does not have a single style, it varies and that catches my attention, in it I can find styles as well as elegant, casual, beach, etc.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years and what are your goals?

I have always thought that in a second everything can change, my perspective, my desires and my dreams; Today I would be traveling around the world, collaborating and being the image of one or several brands. One of my goals is to be a great Influencer and get to do several advertising campaigns with different brands. And for the second, create my own brand, I still do not have a well defined cheese factory, but I have three ideas and I hope I can create at least one. My main goal is to inspire both women and men to pursue their dreams, not give up and think that this life comes with an end and that goal is fulfilled dreams, with effort, passion and dedication can be met , definitely.

Five years from now I see myself with a job that not only provides but also self-satisfies, traveling around the world and becoming a family girl.

What do you like about being Latina?

I love our culture, strength and sense of community. Latinas are notorious for their passion and I think that is a beautiful thing.

What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?

In high school, I created a mentoring program for young girls designed to teach key goal setting techniques; heavily highlighting the importance of writing. I started drafting “Girls with Goals” as a freshman, and worked on this project for four years. As a senior, my program received national recognition from the US Secretary of Defense, in addition to earning the Girl Scout Gold Award, which is only received by 5.4% of eligible Girl Scouts. It was the most amazing experience and I plan to reinstate the program soon!

What are your favorite colors and outfits that make up most of your closet?

I wear a LOT of black and a lot of red. I am always in heels; I alternate between nude tippy top pageant shoes and knee high boots! I always pair that with crop tops, jeans, leggings or shorts.

What trends are big in your city?

Detroit-ers have natural talent for creativity and business. So, between all the artist, musicians, chefs, mixologists, and entrepreneurs; Growth and development have become defining trends of Detroit.

What is your favorite brand/designer? What do you like about that brand?

Versace and Tom Ford! I have an overall admiration for both designers.

Which actresses or models do you believe have the best style?

Sofia Vergara, everything about her is so beautiful and I love that she is always smiling!

Where do you see yourself in 5 years and what are your goals?

My ultimate goal is to create a life I don’t need a vacation from. Intentionally, my job is my life. I love working freelance. Being contracted by multiple agencies as a commercial, print, and promotional model has allowed me to expand into other areas of the industry. Whether it is as an automotive product specialist or state bikini pageant director, I love being able to travel nationally, while exploring different opportunities to have fun and work at the same time. In 5 years I plan to still be working in front of and behind the camera, but with noticeable growth!

What do you like about being Latina?

Something I love about being Latina is definitely the joy with which we are born, positivism and inner and outer beauty.

What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?

People would be surprised to know that I studied at Universidad Derecho for 5 years while modeling without any problem.

What are your favorite colors and outfits that make up most of your closet?

The garment that is mostly found in my closet are high rise pants with wide legs, I love them I think they combine well with absolutely everything, my favorite colors are orange, yellow, black and gold.

What trends are big in your city?

I live in Bogota, the capital of Colombia, and the fashion here is a little sober, the more demure the better, but I sincerely have always had a very international style and have been inspired very little by here, it is not a very fashionable city.

What is your favorite brand/designer? What do you like about that brand?

My favorite brand without a doubt is Coco Chanel, I think it represents exactly what I like when it comes to combining: elegant, trendy and stylish.

Which actresses or models do you believe have the best style?

I love the style of Camila Cohelo, I think it exactly represents a goal.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years and what are your goals?

In 5 years I see myself traveling, working on the two things that I like the most and BEING HAPPY. That is my biggest goal, doing what makes me VERY HAPPY.

What do you like about being Latina?

I love the culture and I love being part of this great community. I also find it kind of great how we all have our similar customs yet they’re still unique in every way. Best thing of all though is the pride we all carry no matter what.

What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?

If I’m being honest, a lot of people are surprised to hear that I’m Latina. People in the streets always either speak to me in English or in whatever other language (Russian, German, to name a few). And when meeting people they’re always surprised to hear where I’m from and that I actually speak Spanish.

What are your favorite colors and outfits that make up most of your closet?

I’ve realized I’m mostly attracted to pinks and blue/denim colors. I love having my closet organized by color and it's pretty safe to say they make up most of it. Denim is a classic, definitely my favorite.

What trends are big in your city?

Well since I moved here only a few months ago, I can’t say so much but i have noticed that the go-to here is loose, colored pants, white sneakers, and a plain tee.

What is your favorite brand/designer? What do you like about that brand?

Definitely Versace. Always elegant, always classy, always original. I love the brands history and their tradition. I don’t think there's any piece of theirs that I don’t love.

Which actresses or models do you believe have the best style?

I absolutely love Maya Stepper. She has this chic, cool girl style and vibe that I love. Very simple yet stylish and chic at the same time.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years and what are your goals?

I know I’m going to make it far in what I do. You’ll definitely be seeing a lot of me in 5 years. Apart from my career goals, I hope to continue growing as a person and never stop experiencing and appreciating the little things. And of course, never stop traveling.
