What do you like about being Latina?

I love being Latina, especially Puerto Rican. I love the climate of my country, the food, the culture, I enjoy every time I say that I am from Puerto Rico wherever I go. Latina's are characterized by our sensuality, our charisma, and we distinguish ourselves by our Latin flavor wherever we tread. I feel extremely fortunate to be born in a Latin country, where the Caribbean woman are not only characterized by their beauty, but for being hard-working, dedicated, self-confident women, capable of leading and excelling in everything we set out to do.

What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?

Well ... One of the things that surprises people the most is when I say "I do not like fruits", and when I say I do not like them, it's NONE of them. On the other hand, one of the things that almost nobody knows about me and are very surprised when I talk about this is that I was diagnosed with "Meningitis" a month and a half after birth. At the time doctors told my family as a consequence I would have brain damage or a learning disability, however, thanks to God I am a healthy person and I have never suffered from any kind of problems or conditions.

What are your favorite colors and outfits that make up most of your closet?

I LOVE pastel colors, white, black and red. I think those are the colors which my wardrobe consists of. For every occasion I find the ideal outfit, but I definitely can not miss my "Little black dress".

What trends are big in your city?

Puerto Rico is a very versatile country, where you can implement your own style. Whether it's jeans, tennis and a visor, a tropical look with a maxi dress or a more elegant and sophisticated outfit, everything depends on the person and their style.

What is your favorite brand/designer? What do you like about that brand?

I honestly do not have a designer or brand as a preference, but if I had to choose one it would definitely be Carolina Herrera, since I love her elegance and the sophisticated and classic look that her pieces show.

Which actresses or models do you believe have the best style?

If we talk about daring and youthful styles I love Olivia Culpo, Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid. But if it's about Elegance, I LOVE the classic and elegant style of Carolina Herrera.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years and what are your goals?

I am currently at a very important stage in my life. I am a candidate for the title of Miss Puerto Rico Petite 2018, one of the most important competitions that praises petite Puerto Rican woman. If I win, God willing, I would create several projects where I could highlight and praise the youth of Puerto Rico. Projects where I can carry a message that everything can be done with effort and dedication and, above all, be able to combine them with one of my great goals in life: "BE A JOURNALIST". In 5 years I am sure that with effort and dedication I will achieve it. I know it's not an easy road but I've always liked the challenges and I'm a faithful believer that the universe does conspire in your favor, as long as your faith is unshakable.

What do you like about being Latina?

I like to come from a country where we have many problems, and based on that we always fight to see our dreams come true. The concept of food and family is probably something that I love the most as a Latina. I grew up in a family where my father worked for many hours in a job that wasn’t the fanciest one, but he is an excellent example of persistence. Now, living in the USA, I bring with me all this kindness, happiness and courage from Colombia.

What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?

Ha ha ha, I don’t know…. I’m the same Lilibeth everywhere, an open book who likes to connect with others and share her experiences or stories. But probably not everyone knows where I met my husband. Every time I share with somebody else where I met him, they are amazed. Hahaha ok, Here we go! I met my husband at the Beach on a beautiful sunny day in San Francisco 3 years ago. I asked him where the bathroom was, as an excuse to talk to him, and that day we ended up eating “arepas” in Pica Pica. Isn’t a cute love story to share?

What are your favorite colors and outfits that make up most of your closet?

The colorful ones! I love to have and create my style with all of them. Although I do have white and black pieces to balance my outfits.

What trends are big in your city?

San Francisco is a city that has a significant diversity of cultures. I think depends on the season, you can find good stuff around. Some trends can very relaxed and hippie but others can be very fancy and luxury.

What is your favorite brand/designer? What do you like about that brand?

I have been working for different entrepreneur designers in the city, and those have probably been my favorite. What I love about them, is their original, handcraft and creativity in their pieces plus the sustainability aspects that help communities around the world. For example, Sara Melissa is an incredible handcraft leather shoe designer who donates 5% of her income to a foundation in Nicaragua, and Totonga Bomoi works with women in Congo creating handcrafted head wraps and bow ties, helping them to bring some income to their families.

Which actresses or models do you believe have the best style?

There are a lot of beautiful models, and all of them have great style, but I have my favorite! She is a Colombian model; her name is Toya Montoya, she is beautiful and natural. Her style is full of colors that combine with nature, and you can see the happiness from her heart. She is also helping communities share the message of taking care of some natural areas in Colombia like Tayrona Park in Santa Marta, Colombia.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years and what are your goals?

I see myself with my own fashion business, helping empower women and taking care of the environment. My goals are to continue studying and learning more about sustainability and business. I believe that life feels better when we give more.

Being a Latina is a gift of God, I love to have fire in my blood.

What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?

I think people would be surprised to discover how organized, determined and patient I am.

What trends are big in your city?

The trends in my city are street and soft colors.

What is your favorite brand/designer? What do you like about that brand?

My favorite designers are Zimmerman, Redemption, Milly and anything that is modern, fresh and cool. I love brands that are unique and that also show ancient reminiscence in their clothes.

What are your favorite colors and outfits that make up most of your closet?

I truly love colors in every shade but I love how I look when I dress sophisticated and classic.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years and what are your goals?

I would love to see myself as an actress in a series and having a creative job-hobby on the side like art, decorating or designing.

Which actresses or models do you believe have the best style?

I love Angelina Jolie forever, I love Sara Sampaio and Mimi Cutrel is my favorite stylist ever.

What do you like about being Latina?

What don't I love about being Latina. I think the quality that so many Latina's possess is strength. That’s what I love about being Latina, we stay strong and we fight for what we want.

What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?

I came in such a young age to the United States all by myself with no family looking for a better future. That’s why people usually get surprised, realizing that I’m very independent.

What are your favorite colors and outfits that make up most of your closet?

I’m always going with neutral colors. I’m really easy going and I won’t let my bad days get to me.

What trends are big in your city?

Since I got here to Houston, the biggest beautiful state. I would say the trend is the mix between Latino and American culture.

What is your favorite brand/designer? What do you like about that brand?

Kate Spade, the reason why I like her is that she always comes out with a classy line which is my style, love everything about the brand.

Which actresses or models do you believe have the best style?

I would say Carolina Silva, she is a model inspiration, not only because she is from my country but the way she expresses herself with her style.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years and what are your goals?

In 5 years I see myself with my own clothing brand and a very successful modeling career.

I eat til I die literally, I'm hungry 24/7. it seems like I have 2 stomachs but I manage.

What do you like about being Latina?

The variety in beauty of Latina women. The versatility, elegance and naturalness.

What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?

I do not like makeup (haha) unless I have to use it. I love being natural.

What are your favorite colors and outfits that make up most of your closet?

The black and white are the protagonists of my wardrobe! I love to combine it with other colors. Shorts and jeans are essential for my day to day.

What trends are big in your city?

My city has warm weather, so comfort is first, in terms of trend, transparencies and skirts are in style. They are a hit in Pereira.

What is your favorite brand/designer? What do you like about that brand?

Valentino Garavani because it is an elegant brand that at the same time can be irreverent and offer very personalized styles. I love the freshness and modernity in each design.

Which actresses or models do you believe have the best style?

I love the style of Camila Coelho , former Miss Universe Ximena Navarrete and Victoria's Secret angel Izabel Goulart.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years and what are your goals?

Recognized as a woman who represents her county in the best way possible and working on a brand of my own that will employ Colombians and that I can position on an international scale.

What do you like about being Latina?

I love it! Latinas are very versatile and colorful with fashion. It does not bother us to show our figure so showing something more is always an option. We can wear winter or summer clothes with the same attitude. We are happy, fun, warm, affectionate, cooperative and winners. I love being Latina.

What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?

I am very reserved and I usually suffer from stage fright, people would be surprised to know this because I am dedicated to modeling and beauty contests where the main requirement is not to be afraid of the public. Well, in my case I am afraid of the public, but every public exhibition I do is done with love and that allows me to control my fear. So do not limit yourself, overcome fears and continue.

What are your favorite colors and outfits that make up most of your closet?

When dressing up my first option are jeans and a basic black or white blouse which saves me immediately in times I scrambling around. When I dress with confidence it takes me more time to choose each garment and combine, my favorite looks are those of winter such as sweaters and booties. And speaking of colors I like them all but the ones I use most are the colors: black, white, gray, blue, vinotinto, beige, magenta, red and green.

What trends are big in your city?

In my city there is tropical and beach climate so the trends here are bathing suits and beachwear. Variety of colors and many accessories that match swimwear such as hats and blouses.

What is your favorite brand/designer? What do you like about that brand?

GUCCI, I definitely love their combinations and sublime style.

Which actresses or models do you believe have the best style?

I'm a fan of Alessandra Ambrosio, Izabel Goulart and Candice Swanepoel. I think they have perfect style.

Well for a Latin woman I’m always on time I guess I get that from my German side .

My favorite color is black. I don't really like light colors, black is what I wear most of the time. Otherwise red suits me well Outfits I have are a mix of everything but mostly street style.
