Chromatic Circle


The chromatic circle begins with 12 colors.

Several more colors of them fan out from these, which are actually its variants and have similar temperatures of each one.
  
Colors can be classified as warm or cold. Warm colors have gold undertones, while cool colors have silver undertones.

An other important thing when it comes to fashion, we must already take into account the skin tones when we think about dressing up.

As basic information, you have to know that if you have a cold skin tone, cold tones colors will stand out best and if your skin is warm, the best for you will be warm tones.

After knowing this, the interesting thing about using the color wheel begins.

Color theory accounts for basic color harmonies: monochromatic, complementary, analogous, and triadic.

Monochromatic Combinations

Monochrome combinations are made up of shades of a single base color. 

This color can be of any of the range, not just neutrals like black or white.

    Complementary Combinations


Complementary colors are right across from each other on the color wheel. 

There are six complementary colors on the wheel.

This type of combination is very common to see in the fashion world, because visually they are very striking.

It is usually a very bright color with one a bit dull or warm and cold.

        Analog Combinations


Analogs are three colors that are next to each other in the circle and can be confused with monochromatic combinations. 

Almost always one color predominates.

This type of combination is the easiest to apply to outfits.

Triadic Combinations


The triadic color scheme uses three equidistant colors around the color wheel. 

They can become very vibrant combinations, such as purple, blue and yellow.


I know that if you think about it, the question may arise as to whether these combos will look good.

How to choose the perfect evening dress?

Every day that passes we see that everything is returning to normal.

We are also seeing fashion parties and events making a comeback!

The first thing we have to do is identify what type of body we have before choosing our dress.

There are 4 body styles:

Hourglass, rectangle, oval and inverted triangle.

Type of Event

Now that you know what your body type is, now we are going to identify what type of event we are going to go to.

Is it a wedding, XV, christening, or another important event?

What time is the event, is it day or afternoon?

Normally when the events are during the day, we can opt for softer and fresher fabrics. And in lighter tones like pastel colors.

But if the event is at night it is better to use more vivid colors or with shiny details.

It can be blue, emerald green, red and even black or navy blue. And also opt for a little thicker fabrics, since the event is at night.

Remember that if it is a wedding, never wear white or very light colors, as it can offend the bride.

But otherwise in a christening the light colors look very nice since it is a very elegant ceremony and during the day.

As you know, all bodies are different and each one has its characteristics that make clothes look different in each one of us.

Which right now in the transition from summer to autumn, is one of the most used garments.

  • 1. High waisted

High-waisted skirts reach the waist and that cut is what favors all bodies, as it visually styles the body, adding curve, waist and height. 

This type of skirts, you can combine them perfectly with a pair of high boots, they can be over knee or to the knee. Apart from protecting you from the cold, it is a very trendy look and helps you visually in height.

You can play with a monochrome look or make daring combinations, for example: a pink skirt and red boots.

For the top, you can play it safe, using a knitted sweater or an enveloping blouse and a blazer or cardigan.

With blouses I do advise you to look for the one indicated for your body type.

2. Type A

Type A skirt is a cut that favors bodies that have a lot of hips, because it helps to hide and create balance.

And for bodies that lack hips, it helps create that hip illusion.

This type of skirts, you can use them together with ankle boots, tennis shoes and stiletto heels, depending on the situation.

For the top, I advise you not to add so much volume, since skirts of this type tend to give us volume.

A top with volume can make us look a little bigger in body.

3. Midi Skirt

This skirt helps to slim the body, create height and refine the legs. 

The fall of this skirt is usually very soft and enveloping. 

This skirt has been in trend for a couple of years, since it is very easy to combine with tennis shoes, whether chunky or flat.

It gives you a youthful but chic look, perfect for dinner, to work or to a picnic.

For the top, I recommend playing with textures.

If your skirt is made of silk-like fabric, you can combine it with a cotton t-shirt or blouse with lace.

    Well, the truth is I am Spanish by birth but I am Mexican at heart! As Chavela Vargas said, Mexicans are born wherever we want! My style is classic and elegant but at the same time sensual, although I also like to be casual and sporty.

    My fashion icon is Marilyn Monroe since she was an icon of fashion and cinema, she was sensual without losing elegance and with an incredible femininity. I love her!


    Culture does influence, especially in style and personality, I consider that I have a European look with a mixture of latin and although I feel very Latin I believer that the culture of your country is always in you not only aesthetically but also in your personality.

I have always been clear about what it is since I was a child. I walk towards my goals every day. Never let small minds convince you that your dreams are too big.
