What do you like about being Latina?

Knowing that I carry from my roots that essence that flows through my veins. The love for the tropical music that makes my heart beat fast and moves my whole body! The food full of taste and history, the abundance of colors, armories and identities. I like that authentic style that defines us as Latins.

What does fashion mean to you and how would you define your style?


Fashion for me is a way to communicate myself. It is more than trends. It’s learning how to dress my body aligned to my values and with what I want to show: a secure and empowered woman. My style has two ways: in the morning it’s totally sport because I go to the gym, and by the afternoon it’s really formal and business look! But always glam and chic!

Who is your fashion icon?

I have two! Audrey Hepburn and Carolina Herrera! Because of the elegance prevailing simplicity.


How does your culture influence your personal style?

Now that I’m a miss that represents her country, a lot! I love to highlight garments that show the folklore of my country with my outfits. 

If your life were a movie, what should the title be?


“The moon phases...” because I have always admired this big astronomical body! I love to compare my life in an analogy of each moon’s phase, especially in the growing phases until arriving at a full moon, big, brilliant and powerful in that dark sky always being an object of admiration.


What actresses or models do you think have the best style?


I love Blake Lively and her versatility since Gossip Girl; Victoria Beckham, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Their styles reflect elegance, versatility, and an empowered woman owning their clothes and highlighting from normality with grace.

What do you like about being Latina?

What I like most about being Latina without a doubt is the joy we transmit to the world, we represent culture, tradition, spontaneity, kindness, solidarity and unity. We are a culture that transmits an amazing to those around us.

What does fashion mean to you and how would you define your style?

Fashion is the only way we really express who we are, where we come from, and what our true passions are. I define my style as sophisticated classic, since for me highlighting the attributes of a woman in an elegant, modern and imposing way has a great impact wherever I go.

Who is your fashion icon?
My greatest icon in the world of fashion is and will always be Coco Chanel a woman who revolutionized the world and that is what each of us should try to revolutionize our environment always contributing with out actions.

How does your culture influence your personal style?

My culture is what formed the woman that I am now, it is something that was imposed to me since I was little, to love our roots, where we come from, and to be able to show the world each of our traditions, thoughts and the big heart that characterizes us as Mexicans. This fills me with joy, and I want to shout to the world how proud I am of where I come from.

For me, fashion means my essence, not what is in trend. Fashion makes me feel comfortable and beautiful, it gives me confidence! I would define my style as classic and elegant!

Definitely Carolina Herrera.


How does your culture influence your personal style?

I feel that my style is very unique, not influences by my culture.

"The Vow," as is the movie, I am very romantic.

What do you like about being Latina?

I like the versatility we can have and show in our daily life. As we work, we dedicate time to our ventures, we take care of our pets and we are aware of household chores, at the same time we can meet social events and look beautiful and elegant.

We fight against everything that comes our way, we maintain our good energy and our whole life has a kind of special spice, that Latin spice.

What is something about you that people would be surprised to know?

I have to do a thousand things daily, from very early I have to meet various tasks and sometimes I end up running from one place to another. Being organized is fundamental, I can not have a messy apartment, when I have to get ready, I try many outfits until I get the perfect one, but at the same time I clean everything up.

I am one of those persons who has a little box for everything, all my shoes are organized in boxes, my makeup is very organized as well, I have all my night makeup in one place, as well as my clothes, I order my clothes by color. Many people are surprised at how organized I am.

What is your favorite brand / designer?
Gucci is one of my favorite brands. I like to wear it because its pieces have a lot of black and gold, colors that I love to use.
In addition to being a brand that always has different or particular garments to call it in some way, they allow me to look different, it’s not easy to find another girl wearing the same clothes.
What do you like about that brand?
Shoes and accessories, I am not as classy or simple when choosing my outfits. I love sparkles and outstanding pieces to complement my look. Gucci always has shoes and accessories that you have to look at, completely different and elegant, as well as super trendy! I love that.
What are your favorite colors and sets that make up most of your closet?

When dressing, black is essential in my closet. Because I can combine them with any trending color, I can play a lot with my makeup and the best thing is that black garments are versatile to wear at any time of the day.


I have many black skirts, palazos, pants, blouses and a lot of underwear of this color. Because I really like it.


And if we talk about bright colors, I think that one of the ones I love to wear the most, because it also highlights my skin a lot, is the color red. Jeans with a red blouse and nude heels are the perfect outfit for my day to day.

What trends are great in your city?

I am currently living in Mexico City and I think it is very common to see women wear metallic colors, glitters and sequins, both in footwear, clothing and accessories.

During the day and night, you will always see women in bright clothes, regardless of the time or place. So I think it's a trend that a lot of women use in this city.

What actresses or models do you think have the best style?

Two references come to mind: The first is a model of my beautiful Colombian country and is called Ariadna Gutierrez, her style is sophisticated, very clean, and like me, she wears many striking garments when it comes to dressing.

And the second one is Camila Coelho, a Brazilian Fashion Blogger who in recent years has inspired me by the way she mixes her clothes, the arrangement of hair and makeup. I love all her outfits and I confess that sometimes I try to imitate her looks and her hair because she dares to look different. 

Where do you see yourself in 5 years and what are your goals?

I am a woman who loves challenges and for the next few years, if it is in God’s plan, I hope to have my clothing line ready in the market, I want to open several stores in different cities of the country, which allow women to have a place where they can put together different styles for any occasion.

That they feel beautiful, empowered and with people around them who can help them feel comfortable, beautiful and with advice in all aspects. Not only with his clothes.

This along with developing my career as an actress. I was recently part of a series representing a very nice character and I hope that new doors will open from this experience.

What do you like about being Latina?

I love our style, wherever we go people always say “she is Latina.” I love our food, taste, music, dances etc.

What does fashion mean to you and how would you define your style?

I love fashion, and for me it is very important since I am queen of one of the most important carnivals in my country and I have to always be well dressed! I would say that my style is elegant but at the same time sexy and very bright.

Coco Chanel definitely for its elegance.

I love the culture of my country, I think that in my day it does not influence so much but when I have to dress in something typical of my country I do it with great pride.

I think it would be called "life behind the crown."

For me, definitely Jennifer Lopez, the years go by and she always looks impeccable.

I love my Mexican culture, I could not say that include it every day in my style of dress but if it is present in my taste, my way of life, my beliefs etc.

Intrigue. The truth is that I do not have so many things planned, I let it flow  according to life and the opportunities that come my way, one month I am in Mexico the next I am out, so that word completely defines my lifestyle.

What do you like about being Latina?

Girls around the world embrace their femininity when they really want to do it and when they don't impose it. But there is something about Latina woman that comes out naturally. We seriously make an effort to look good and feel good about ourselves, about our body and appearance, we are also strong and independent woman! Therefore, most of us love to feel sexy and take pride in our femininity.

What does fashion mean to you and how would you define your style?

Fashion for me is a very large area to describe, but in short it is a set of garments, shoes or accessories that we wear for a certain period of time, my style would be hippy chic, I like floral prints, jeans, long dresses and of course accessories such as hats or fanny packs. In special occasions, I like to go elegant and for the day to day I am rather classic.

I don't usually follow a fashion icon especially.

How does your culture influence your personal style?

It influences the simplicity of people, sharing a mate (drink), appreciating the nature of my country.
