What do you like about being Latina?

I love the fact that I come from a country that has struggled for decades with violence, corruption and poverty, but still has so many talented entrepreneurs, artists, bloggers, designers, I mean there is so much talent in my country and in Latin America! We not only have the most beautiful women in the universe, but also the most prestigious artists in the world, I'm sure at least once you have moved your hips with Shakira or danced all night with Maluma and J Balvin songs. I'm really honored to be Colombian and to call myself "Latina" 100% ! ... also "My hips don't lie" literally, I got the moves and the curves for sure! (hahaha)

What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?
Sometimes when you expose your life on social media, people tend to believe you are just that, "an amount of followers, likes and comments", but my life and my mission is so much bigger than that! I'm 25 years old, but I already have 2 careers, a masters degree and a specialization, I have a full time job and I'm starting my own business at the same time. I take social media really seriously, although I can only do it in my free time. I aim to always GIVE, this is what fulfills my life, I'm a very spiritual person, and I strongly believe that we all have angels and we need to learn to communicate with them, I do believe in energies, karma and meditation, I don't like to call it religion but spirituality, its about tolerance, acceptance but also about believing so hard that actually everything you dream and desire, comes true.
What are your favorite colors and outfits that make up most of your closet?

To be honest I like neutral colors, I prefer to accessorize an outfit with colors, than to wear them. I'm in love with everything that has movement, I love flare , high wasted and mostly loose jeans, I'm not a big fan of tide clothes. I do have a lot of light pink clothes, and my favorite print is leopard. I prefer gold over silver, earrings over necklaces, but, I love small chains, and I'm currently obsessed with layering my chains.

What trends are big in your city?

I live in Miami, so there is so much variety and style trends going on that I will lie if I say I know them all. I see lots of fannypacks, over-sized jackets (because Miami weather is crazy), Combination of boots with long dresses or skirts, the mix between denim and silk, and vintage sunglasses!

What is your favorite brand/designer? What do you like about that brand?

I'm in love with Zimmermann, all the designs are classy, with structure and movement at the same time, lots of neutral colors and specially white (J'adore!) and this brand enhances the feminine silhouette so good without being vulgar at all. It has vintage vibes as well which i'm crazy about because I love to see how past trends find their place in the new era.

Which actresses or models do you believe have the best style?

Our Miss Universe Paulina Vega, she's not only style goals but beauty goals as well. Love the fact that she always prefers to look natural, and real, this is what all women should strive for.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years and what are your goals?

I'm Latin so being 25 I see myself married with kids in 5 years!! (Haha) just kidding, I see myself as an empowered women, with an important power to influence peoples live, not only by showing outfits, trips, or cute pictures, but by helping others overcome their battles, fears, and insecurities through spiritual methods. My main goal is to learn and grow as a person everyday to provide my knowledge and experience to those that look up to me, life is not easy all the time, but we can overcome anything with the power of believing, and having a healthy mind and lifestyle.

What do you like about being Latina?

I love that I have two different cultures embedded in me. I can show my Latina side and show people what it means to be Mexican and all the great traditions we have.

What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?

Ah I'm terrible at this! Hmm.. I have a crazy phobia to any meat that is canned or processed. You could not get me to eat a hot dog, ham, spam, or any sort of meat that has been grinded up into something else. I think it's the nastiest thing ever.

What are your favorite colors and outfits that make up most of your closet?

I used to only wear black to go with my Instagram theme, however, out of nowhere I have been into pink a lot and I love it! I tend to gravitate towards dresses, jumpsuits and rompers because you put one item on and have a whole outfit ready to go.

What trends are big in your city?

I feel like Texas catches on to trends at the end of their cycle, so I don't really see many here. I do think that everyone has their own style and we don't usually have a specific trend or way of dressing.

Which actresses or models do you believe have the best style?

Rihanna, hands down. Although she is a singer I feel like her style is what matches mine the most. She can be girly, but most of the time she has a great street style and looks great in anything.

What is your favorite brand/designer? What do you like about that brand?

I love Balmain. I think anything Olivier creates is futuristic, strong, and makes you feel confident without being girly.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years and what are your goals?

I see myself having a Mexican bakery of some sort. I have always wanted to be an entrepreneur, and what I do now allows me to do that. However, I am aware that trends and times change so social media may not be around forever, but humans always have to eat. So opening up a restaurant/coffee shop is a super important business venture that I hope to accomplish.

What trends are big in your city?

In Panama, we have summer vibes the whole year because of the weather. So I would say something like Coachella style would be the trend for us. Nevertheless, there are many emerging designers all around Latin America that are becoming stronger with different styles.

What are your favorite fashion trends?

San Francisco or the Bay Area, isn't often regarded to as a "fashionable" city, but I'd like to think that fashionistas like myself are changing that! In general there's a more relaxed vibe and weather can change in matter of minutes, so layering is a must! Lots of chic coats and denim pieces everywhere (Levi's was founded in SF after all!).

What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?

Although I tend to put myself out there quite frequently on social media, I am actually a complete introvert. I used to be painfully shy as a child, and slowly over the years have become more comfortable in my own skin. Once having found my voice, I've attempted to push myself to use it for good. Whether it be through inspiring women through style, being an agent of change and promoting social justice, or simply listening to a friend in need and offering heart-felt advice-- I've always stayed true to myself and voice! Fashion blogging has been a great way for me to overcome shyness while also following my passion!

What are your favorite colors and outfits that make up most of your closet?

I would love to say that black isn't my favorite, but i'd be lying! There's something so sleek and cool about it. While I do tend to wear a lot of black, I always find myself drawn to blush tones, anything from pastel pink to dusty rose, will always make me swoon. Outfits that takeover my closet? BIKER JACKETS, in every color!

"I love belonging to a culture that is so colorful and vivacious. Everything from its food to language to traditions are full of beauty and life. I love the sense of community/sisterhood that you automatically feel when interacting with other Latinas-- It's as if you're always running into long lost family members! I admire our inherent desire to fight for what we want, stand up for our beliefs, strong work ethic, and notion that giving up is never an option. I am incredibly proud of my Mexican heritage and will eternally feel blessed to belong to such an inspiring community. I am Latina, loud and proud!"

What is your favorite brand/designer? What do you like about that brand?

Alexander Wang always bring the perfect amount of edge, it's an all time favorite of mine.

Which actresses or models do you believe have the best style?

I admire both Blake Lively and Jessica Alba's style. They're both authentic and effortless in what they wear. I'd say Olivia Palermo and Victoria Beckham are my true style icons!

Where do you see yourself in 5 years and what are your goals?

I want to continue growing my fashion blog and establish my platform as a lifestyle influencer. Starting my own fashion brand or business has also been a dream and I wholeheartedly believe that working relentlessly towards your goals will bring you the results you want. I look forward to what the future holds, investing energy into my passions, and growing as an individual and with those I love as time evolves!

What do you love about being Latina?

Being a Latina means being proud of my culture and I embrace everything that it has to offer. Latina is not only an ethnicity but a way of life.

What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?

This year I was fortunate enough to take some time off and travel to Panama to deliver medical supplies to the less fortunate.
