The character, passion, determination, sensuality and strength that characterizes the Latin woman makes me proud to be one.
What does fashion mean to you and how would you define your style?
Fashion is a form of expression and visual characterization which allows us to identify or differ from others, for me, each style can vary depending on the culture, age or social position and is like the cover of a magazine, our interior being the content of it, and its cover being our appearance or as we decided to introduce ourselves to society. My style can be varied, due to the extensive cultural exposure I have had, I do not consider having a single style and on the contrary, I like to experiment with several styles depending on my mood or where I am mentally in that day / moment.
Who is your fashion icon?
I would say that I love Victoria Beckham's style because of its elegance and class. Impeccable woman and her style is very suitable for every occasion. But sometimes I can also identify with the popular style of the Kardashians that is so criticized but that everyone wants to imitate. I admire it because it is a fearless style, direct and showing skin without paying attention to any criticism. It is a style that, as false as it may seem, to me, is very real.
How does your culture influence your personal style?
Because my cultures are like opposite poles I choose my style depending on where I am:
Fashion in Japan is very variable and has total freedom, despite that there are outfits for occasions and everyone respects that. In simple things, for example, if I go to a wedding, I will not wear a white dress or an extravagant neckline because I am aware that it is the day of the bride and nobody should take attention from her. Or for example, if I'm going on a date, I'm going to apply the “neckline up or down” law, which means that on a date it's only used or a low-cut blouse and something that covers the bottom, or if I'm going to wear a miniskirt, I'm going to cover my chest. Because if I show you both, I am insinuating myself a lot, and if I don't show anything, it is lack of interest to look attractive.
