What do you like about being Latina?

What I love about being a Latina is that we live everything with intensity, we are very passionate women who care a lot about the well-being of those we love the most. Our energy is unique, our joy turns the darkest night into the brightest day! I feel happy to be Latina and carry the flag of human warmth, joy and passion!

What does fashion mean to you and how would you define your style?

Fashion for me is an attitude. Our personality is projected in how we dress, it transmits ideas, feelings and thoughts. My style varies between sporty Chic, classic and romantic. I like to dress comfortably, relaxed and on extremely special occasions, I like to surprise myself and everyone.

Who is your fashion icon?

I LOVE Lady Di. She perfectly describes my style. When I want to be a queen, when I want to be casual without leaving behind elegance or class.


How does your culture influence your personal style?

Oh well, from trying to share our traditions on our clothes to sometimes feeling limited in dressing as I wish. Unfortunately, we live in a very "macho" culture and wearing short clothes is still a taboo, I don't feel completely confident wearing this type of clothing. In 2021, when I went to compete for the Spanish


Which actresses or models do you think have the best style?

I love how Johnny Deep, Bradley Cooper, Zendaya, Bella Hadid and my queen: Jennifer Lopez dress.


If your life were a movie, what should the title be?

"Bathe in oil" always wanted to convey the message of resilience and strength with a phrase that I always heard from my grandmother. That she will bathe me in oil, this phrase motivates me to be strong and that everything they tell me simply "shake it off" without affecting. I think I've reached a point where my shell is protective from negative comments and criticism.

I'm proud to be Latina because of the creativity we bring to society, we are capable of amazing things. I love the culture and the food, everything makes me proud.

Fashion has always been important to me, but it's always a must for me to be comfortable. If I could describe my style I would say it is: trendy, chic and elevated.

I don't really have a fashion icon, I like to do what works for me and my body.

My culture is involved in my style with my hair. I love an iconic Dominican hair, which is my favorite!

Best dressed for me is always Beyoncé because she's not afraid to be different and try new things!

If my life was a movie it would be called “Becoming” I heard this title from Michelle Obamas book and I thought it was beautiful because everything that occurred in my life has lead me to become who I am today.

I love representing Latin beauty. I love the way we unite regardless of race, color, or origin, we extend a helping hand to those who need it. We are very talented and wherever we go we take our Latin flavor. The most I love about being a Latina is that we never give up and fight for our dreams. I am proud to be Latina.

For me, fashion is the way to express our creativity in the most beautiful way, having the freedom to wear that outfit that describes you so much and make it your personality; showing off your creativity to the world. I am a girl of very varied tastes, including my style. I like to feel free with the outfit I choose and add my essence to it. I have a lot of affinity with this phrase "It's not the clothes, it's how you wear them and the impact they cause."

Coco Chanel.
How does your culture influence your personal style?
It influences way too much! In Puerto rico is always summer! I love to dress in tropical colors since I am brunette and I like how bright colors look on me. Our culture is very happy and tropical. I love to have my hair down and whenever I see a flower, I place it in my hair.

What do you like about being Latina?

I would say that I like being Latina, due to the fact that we are characterized by our sense of humor, our human quality, the attitude with which we face the circumstances of life, we always have a joy and smile regardless of the moments that may be happening. I like being Latina because we are a racial mix in which we always characterize ourselves, I like being Latina because where we arrive we make a difference through joy, through our strength, because we always seek to stand out in what we want by always giving the best. I am proudly Latina.

What does fashion mean to you and how would you define your style?

First of all, fashion for me means a lifestyle where each person identifies themselves, illustrating their personality, their strengths and weaknesses... Second, how would I define my style... Wow, I would honestly say that my style is unique and different but it always highlights my personality and my essence in which it has a touch of rebellion but at the same time elegance, freshness, always making a difference where I go to because despite having a variant style I always emphasized my Afro-descendant roots...

Who is your fashion icon?

For me, my fashion icon is Carolina Herrera..

Why? Because she stands out and regardless of how fast fashion is changing, there is something that she never loses, which is the elegance and simplicity within her. Where she shows that it is not necessary to show much to attract attention, and that a woman is always distinguished by her elegance and attitude.


What are your favorite brand of clothes?

Woow... it influences a lot, since my culture is tropical and the coasts is in my blood or as there call it the beach. It has a positive influence since my personal style is as I said before, unique. I like the sea that can sometimes be calm and other times can be restless, showing its power, strength, freedom, abundance, prosperity, transparency. This is my personal style; not forgetting where I come from

Always be yourself, because there is always a constant struggle with society, in which despite everything, in that struggle it is always me, Darianny Finoll, who does not care about pleasing or meeting anyone's expectations, only meeting hers, which is what really gives me satisfaction and happiness. Because I know that trying to please people is something that in the end does not fulfill you as a person because you will never fulfill people's wishes. So I will always be myself.

Culture greatly influences my style, because we will always seek to belong to a group. In particular, having more visual culture at the level of art, history and the environment has made me refine my style.
