What do you like about being Latina?

I mean what’s not to love? I love our culture and of course our delicious food. I love the way my parents raised us to speak Spanish so we never forgot where we came from, which I’m so grateful for. Over all just the way we were raised to be strong and never depend on anyone else. 

What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?
I’m a tomboy, I may dress girly and love makeup but I’m a forever tom boy, in my spare time I’m playing video games and honestly I prefer sneakers over heels any day. When I was younger I had a collection of hot wheel cars and hated dolls and barbies lol!


What are your favorite colors and outfits that make up most of your closet?

Black and grey! I’m not much of a colored clothes person. I feel uncomfortable when I wear bright colors.

What is your favorite brand/designer? What do you like about that brand?

Givenchy, Comme des Garçons, Topshop and Off-white.

What do you like about being Latina?

I love my culture, I love how people are becoming more proud of being Latino or Latina. I love being bilingual and being able to spice things up by throwing a little Spanish phrase after having a full long conversation in English just to express yourself better.

What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?
I think people would be surprised to know that I have a very tiny mole on my top lip that I usually hide with lipstick AND I also have a super cool mole in my right eye under my pupil that can only be seen in the light.


What are your favorite colors and outfits that make up most of your closet?

My favorite color is red & outfits that make up most of my closet consist of black clothes, sweats and jackets

What trends are big in your city?

People were wearing a lot of checkers for a while, then the plaid was in style and now that the season is changing I’m seeing a lot of floral prints. But in California, sandals are always in style.

What is your favorite brand/designer? What do you like about that brand?

My favorite designer is Donatella Versace, I recently watched a questionnaire video about her and I loved her super dry humor, she’s just so careless but when it comes to creating Versace fashion she never disappoints!

Which actresses or models do you believe have the best style?

I’m obsessed with Olivia Culpo’s style! She’s so beautiful! Every time I see one of her posts on my instagram timeline I’m always like "YAS QUEEN."

Where do you see yourself in 5 years and what are your goals?

In 5 years from now, I want to have graduated university with a degree in film & video editing. Perhaps I will be traveling with the love of my life & furthering my career in what I enjoy doing & perhaps I’ll be a business women of my own video company or just something with my name on it.

What do you like about being Latina?

Oh man there’s so much to love about being a Latina but the main things would definitely be the diversity and beauty that we carry within our culture the different colors, shapes and sizes, the unity we have among each other, the empowerment we give one another, and the motivation and ambition. I definitely feel that we should not only share this within our culture but definitely share it with the world :).

What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?
Well lately it’s like I’ve been living in two completely different worlds. I represent plus size women in the modeling industry in America and for some reason it’s very surprising when I break the news that I’ve been married for 10 years and am a mother. The other thing I represent is motherhood so when some family and friends come to find out that am modeling it’s like a shocker not only because I am plus size woman but because am a mother and a person with spiritual faith. It kind of makes me sad to hear how some of this generation is now afraid of commitment and I can understand from personal experiences but it is also nice to see two people supporting each other and in love unconditionally through the good and bad times. Also for my surroundings to be surprised about a plus size women with kids and spiritual beliefs to be in the modeling industry sometimes can be uncomfortable but yet motivating :).


What are your favorite colors and outfits that make up most of your closet?

My favorite color is green why because growing up in community were it was either red or blue aka crips and bloods is why I decided to go with green lol. But I love bright vibrant colors it reminds me so much of my Mexican heritage. My closet used to be made up of a variety of colorful things but now that I’ve been more involved in the modeling industry it’s slowly becoming black, white and denim only because it’s mainly the dress code requirement when I go to castings.

What trends are big in your city?

In my city everyone is different, which is one of the things that I love about it. But if I see something that everyone can relate with and share, it will definitely be denim. I see kids wearing denim, teenagers, young adults and adults, etc... wear denim. You see denim made in different ways from pants, to dresses, jackets, hats and even shoes.

What is your favorite brand/designer? What do you like about that brand?

My favorite brands are the ones that cater to all body types and every type of person, from kids to adults, it just makes things easier for me when I shop lol. But definitely Forever 21, Old Navy and H&M are on my top list for those very reasons I just named. They have definitely improved a lot through the years.

Which actresses or models do you believe have the best style?

Selena was definitely one growing up but nowadays I would have to say curvy model Bree Kish. I just love how she doesn’t follow the crowd and makes her own rules and incorporates her creativity within her wardrobe. I love how she stays true to herself with her retro/vintage Disney vibes. Definitely very inspiring and uplifting

Where do you see yourself in 5 years and what are your goals?

I see myself being an example for others, supporting any girl who aspires to do what I do(blogger), I want to leave good principles and show my personality with no pretension and have people follow me for who I am and my style!

What do you like about being Latina?

I love that I can speak two languages. Bilingual is the new sexy

What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?
That I have a black belt in karate. I've been in kempo martial arts since I was 5 and got my black belt at 12. I haven't practiced since then but I can definitely say I reaped the benefits of being active and disciplined. I've always been pretty active. I did ballet, pointe, jazz and love trying new workouts. I'm trying a boot camp at Crossfit and love it!


What are your favorite colors and outfits that make up most of your closet?

My favorite color is burgundy or a shade of red. It's just so classy and pretty. You can wear it on your nails or as lipstick. Most of what I have in my closet are body suits, shorts, swimsuits and dresses. Anything form fitting cause come on ladies we work hard for our body. In South Florida it gets really hot so I don't really like pants. I own two pairs of jeans.

What trends are big in your city?

Bathing suits whether it's one pieces or bikinis, they are always in. Crop top long sleeve bolero"s that tie in the front are starting to be seen again and they are super adorable.

What is your favorite brand/designer? What do you like about that brand?

I would say anything that is form fitting and affordable. I'm not going to lie I love waist clinching pieces no matter what brand.

People will not believe that I’m kinda shy!! Looks like I’m not! But I am! I’m always nervous before a shoot until I get confident with myself!

White, black, grey and red are my favorite colors! And most outfits in my closet are sporty.

Bikinis! Here it's always bikini season!

I don’t have a specific brand or favorite designer, I like to try different brands and trends just to have something comfy and fresh! Because it’s too hot were I live! And I change my style and favorite things constantly lol. I have a big problem!

In five years I see myself in the best point of my life with a big family! I have many goals but one of them is to keep enjoying my fitness journey, helping people change their lives by choosing a healthy lifestyle and to be the image of a big brand! That could be amazing!

What do you like about being Latina?

What I love about being Latina is that we are very feisty and independent women. We have so much to bring to the table and part of that has to do with how we were raised! We work hard and still know how to handle our business at work, or at home. Latinas have a lot of character. There is a big stereotype out there that Latinas are crazy, but we aren’t. We are just very passionate and we are not afraid to speak our mind!

What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?
Something about me that will surprise people is that I am a very shy person. Only those who know me personally get to experience the real me! A lot of people don’t really get to see this side of me because they only know me through Instagram, and on social media my alter-ego comes out. Instagram Leslie is super carefree, fierce, and confident. However, people don’t see what happens behind the camera. I am super dorky and I usually change back to sweats and a hoodie when I am done taking pictures!
What are your favorite colors and outfits that make up most of your closet?

My favorite colors are black, white, and mustard yellow! I would say 80% of my clothes are in the color black, but sometimes I try to spice it up and wear white! I just think white is super elegant and classy. For outfits I think my closet is full of two pieces! If I see any matching sets in the store I am just like well take my money!

What trends are big in your city?

So, in the Bay it’s really hard to describe a trend because everyone is so unique and different, but I would say everyone has some swag to them. I am the complete opposite. I am stuck with the So Cal fashion trends, because I lived there for four years and that’s where I got most of my fashion inspiration from. In LA it’s all about the glamour, the glitter, and the extra-ness, so people in the Bay look at me funny!

What is your favorite brand/designer? What do you like about that brand?

I am very into Gucci right now, because I just think it’s a staple and it looks dope! But my dream is to own a Chanel Bag. I just think Chanel is super elegant!

Wow this is a really hard question because everyone in the fashion industry has been killing the game, but I would say Olivia Culpo. She just has effortless beauty and fashion trends. Every time she posts something on Instagram it always ends up on my saved pictures!

Where do you see yourself in 5 years and what are your goals?

In five years I see myself living in a condo on the Hills of LA. I see myself being the head coordinator for a big marketing firm. As for my fashion I see it taking off. I just see myself making money out of my personal brand. I have a lot of goals/ dreams that I want to accomplish, but I am taking everything one step at a time. I trust my own process and I just want to enjoy the journey!

What do you like about being Latina?

EVERYTHING! The culture, the food, the warmth of Latin people, the food, the traditions, the food, the heritage, Seriously the FOOD! Haha, I'm Mexican and I'm completely obsessed with everything my Latin culture provides, since I was young my parents taught me to be proud about my heritage.

What are your favorite colors and outfits that make up most of your closet?

I'm definitely more of a jeans and really comfy shoes kinda gal. I'm very casual in the way I dress. Very California Girl. I don't really like high heels (mainly because I have no clue how to walk in them) and you'll definitely see me in any form of denim. I tend to wear a lot of white, blue, black and pink.

What trends are big in your city?

I live in a small pueblo in Guanajuato so there isn't really a huge fashion or trend following. People tend to wear the same things.

Gucci Gang Gucci gang Gucci gang. I'm obsessed with Gucci but your girl can't always afford it so I tend to shop more at Zara they have all the Gucci vibes at only the fraction of the price.

Julie Sariñana, Chiara Ferragni and Millie Bobby Brown, is that weird?

Where do you see yourself in 5 years and what are your goals?

Definitely married and with my very own successful business.

What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?

That I was born in the US, SoCal actually. Born and raised until I decided a couple of years ago to permanently move to Mexico with my mom and dad. People in Mexico find it very strange that I decided to live in Mexico when I could live in the "land of opportunities" -- guess I just really fell in love with this country. Oh and that I don't like tequila AT ALL! People also find that very surprising.

What do you like about being Latina?

I love everything about being Latina, the culture, the food, the music and the amazing people. Being a Latina makes me feel proud and strong because we are raised to appreciate everything we have, and to work hard for what we want. But most of all to never give up and to always have in our mind que si se puede!

What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?
That I'm a redhead! I was born with red hair and have freckles. People used to call me tomato head and tortilla chip in school so i dyed my hair and now I'm letting it grow red again. I love it, I have learned to love my gifts 
What are your favorite colors and outfits that make up most of your closet?

I would say black and red, I just think they are such sexy colors and you can rock them in many ways. I think you can never go wrong with black outfits, you can rock black in any style it doesn't matter how or what you wear it with and of course some red lipstick to complete the look!

What trends are big in your city?

What's in right now is Vogue, Gucci and anything that you see in the Kardashians, I'm actually not into all that .

I love Chanel!! From their fragrance to their makeup and bags, everything its super sexy and beautiful that you can never go wrong with the brand. And of course Fashion Nova! I love everything about the clothing, it's so comfortable, affordable and sexy!

Eiza Gonzalez! She is beautiful and has an amazing taste in fashion. She can rock anything, she's classy, sexy and she represents us Latina woman!!

Where do you see yourself in 5 years and what are your goals?

My goal is to be a better person everyday! I see myself starting my career as an RN and having a job that I love, helping people around me, having a better place for my family and having a little business. Another goal of mine is helping families in need and homeless kids! I want to get people together and organize a fundraiser to help families that need a home and kids who have never had a toy and I know god will help me achieve my goals by giving me patience, strength, and guiding me towards the right direction.
