¿Qué te gusta de ser latina?

Me encanta que estemos extremadamente determinados. No permitimos que otros se interpongan en el camino de nuestros sueños y metas. También me encanta que seamos excelentes para apoyarnos unos a otros.

¿Qué hay de ti que la gente se sorprendería de saber?
Mucha gente siempre se sorprende cuando les digo que solo mido 5 pies de altura. Siempre me veo mucho más alta en las fotos, ¡y uso tacones todos los días!


¿Cuáles son tus colores y conjuntos favoritos que componen la mayor parte de tu armario?

Me encantan todos los colores, ¡mi armario es muy colorido! Mis atuendos favoritos son vestidos o peleles porque son muy fáciles de poner y lucen elegantes.

¿Qué tendencias son grandes en tu ciudad?

Riñoneras y cuadros!

¿Cuál es tu marca / diseñador favorito? ¿Qué te gusta de esa marca?

Disfruto comprando en lugares nuevos, especialmente cuando viajo. Algunas marcas realmente interesantes que he encontrado son Bershka, Stradivarius y Primark.

En 5 años me gustaría tener mi propio negocio. Me veo creando contenido y estando más involucrado en la industria de la moda, tal vez tenga mi propia boutique en línea. Me encantaría seguir viajando explorando el mundo.

What do you like about being Latina?

I love being Latina because we are warriors, nobody cant stop us when we have something in mind, being Latina is such a pleasure, just because I can dance any type of song make a proud Latina!

What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?
I eat so bad, i don't like vegetables, i hate soda and coffee!


What are your favorite colors and outfits that make up most of your closet?

OMG! I think white, nude colors and black, i feel like are the best color to match everything.

What trends are big in your city?

Well since I'm living in Miami there are a lot of trends, and there isn't any in specific i can say this is the most top!

What is your favorite brand/designer? What do you like about that brand?

Kate spade, I love everything in there, the colorful bags are my favorites!!! And Zara just because their original style and elegance!

Where do you see yourself in 5 years and what are your goals?

Honestly i don't think what im going to be doing in 5 years, I just live now, and do whatever i like at the moment, but i guess in 5 years I’ll be probably married and traveling around the world, one of my goals are get a second career which is become a fashion designer, and become a success fashion model, success entrepreneur and Mom.

What do you like about being Latina?

I love everything about being Latina! I love how important family is in Latin culture. I have a huge family on both of my parents side, and every time I go to Brazil, I know there is food, party and a huge family waiting for me 

What’s something about you that people would be surprised to know?
Most people get really surprise when I start to speak Spanish. I graduated from college with a degree on World Languages, and i choose Spanish as my third language. Also, even though we speak Portuguese in Brazil, we Brazilians have a lot of facility in understanding Spanish. I also grew up watching Mexican novelas, so I have always wanted to be fluent in the language.


What are your favorite colors and outfits that make up most of your closet?

I love nude colors, although I have a lot of black dresses. Lately I been in love with floral dresses, I just want to wear them everywhere. 

What trends are big in your city?

Here in Vegas, summer clothes are essential. Even with the end of summer, summer dresses and skirts are still very big in the city.

What is your favorite brand/designer? What do you like about that brand?

My favorite designer is Elie Saab. I absolutely love his dresses. He uses a lot of floral, lace, pearls, and I just love all of that.

Which actresses or models do you believe have the best style?

I love Blake Lively style. She is elegant, fashion, classic and beautiful. I love how she is not afraid to change her style, she goes from romantic to high fashion in a blink of an eye and I love it.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years and what are your goals?

five years from now, I see myself done with my Bachelors degree of International business, and hopefully working on the field that I choose.

Gilda Garza is a Mexican artist born in Sinaloa, Mexico. She started to paint as young as she can remember, a generational talent passed down to her from her grandmother. Living in one of the most dangerous places in Mexico, Sinaloa, she was surrounded by war and kidnappings in her family. Her paintings show all of the raw emotions from these impactful events in her life.   She believes the best works of art happen when pain and suffering turn into inspiration and creativity.

What do you like about being Latina?

What I love about being Latina, is that we have sabor. Although, I have mixed cultures because my dad is Lebanese being Latina is what makes us stand out, being Latina makes us I think a little bit more passionate about everything we love. It’s always in me and it’s what gives me an edge.

What are your favorite colors?

My favorite color is yellow, nice and bright, although I don’t really wear it.

What are your favorite brand of clothes?

My favorite brand is Zara, a Spanish brand. I’m in love with everything they sell. My mother owns a clothing store so that would be my second favorite.

What's your favorite style?

My style varies depending on my mood and the day. One thing is consistent, I love to dress to impress. I think the way we look says a lot about who we are so I like to look my best always (at least I try to!) I think my style is a combination of classic with a trendy/dramatic look.


What are the items you always carry in your purse?

The five items always in my purse are hand lotion, lip balm (I can’t stand dry lips), mints, iPhone (because I need to take pictures!) and sunglasses.

Which actor/actress or model has the best style according to your taste?

Mmmm, this is a tough question. I tend to create my own style based on what I like, what’s trending and what accentuates my features. I don’t really have a specific someone to name. Yes, there’s a few actress and models I enjoy how they dress but they don’t really define my style.


Who was your role model growing up and how does that influence who you are today?

My role model growing up was my mom, she still is! I have learned from her sacrifices and experiences. She has taught me to be the woman I am today and I am proud of how she raised my brothers and I. She is also my go-to fashion consultant. I have learned my great taste in style from her.

What is your favorite Latino Dish?

Although, I’m not Peruvian my favorite Latino Dish is ceviche. It’s so yummy; I could eat it for days.


What is your favorite thing to do?

My most favorite thing to do is read, travel, travel, travel and do runway modeling. Did I mention I love to travel?

All the doors that have opened up for me for being able to speak 2 languages.
What are your favorite colors?

Red.

What are your favorite brand of clothes?

I don’t have a favorite brand of clothes, what ever fits nice and looks nice is my favorite.

What’s your favorite style?

I am more in to the hippie type, but it also depends on my mood of the day. I can be really girly but also a tomboy.

What are the items you always carry in your purse?

Lotion, ID, credit card, chapstick and mascara.

Kendall Jenner because she is very natural.

 

Who was your role model growing up and how does that influence who you are today?

I don’t think I ever had a role model because I’ve always been in to doing my own things and very hardheaded when it comes to something I want.

 

What is your favorite Latino Dish?

Pinhão, it’s a Brazilian seed that only grows in the south of Brazil .

 

What is your favorite thing to do?

I love to spend time with my daughter, or go to the beach to just think and relax if she is not around.

 

What is a good life lesson that you would like to share with others?

I think that you have to definitely be careful with those you call your friends, because a lot of people out there are rooting for you to lose so always measure out the good and bad that people do to you and who is actually there for you when you are down.

What do you like about being Latina?

What I enjoy the most about being Latino is how different our culture is. The food is delicious, everyone is so social and friendly. Also the opportunity of being able to speak 3 languages, I speak English, a little bit of Spanish, and Portuguese.

What are your favorite brand of clothes?

One of my few favorite brands are Guess, Abercrombie and Fitch, Hollister and Nordstrom.

What is your favorite color? 

My favorite color is blue.

What's your favorite style?

My favorite style is being able to combine everything together and making it look like 3 different outfits. I’m also into the summer style. I enjoy wearing my hair down often with nice natural makeup.


What are the items you always carry in your purse?

The 5 items I carry in my purse are lip gloss, highlighter, wallet, mirror, and brush.

Who was your role model growing up and how does that influence who you are today?

One actress I looked up to growing up is Angelina Jolie she has made me want to chase my dreams and made me realize that nothing is impossible

At the moment, learning make-up.

What is a good life lesson that you would like to share with others?

To take every opportunity that you can in life and don’t second guess anything and go for what you love to do.

I am 25 years old, born in Chicago, Ill. Moved to California about 11 years ago and I love it here! I’ve been working in the dental field for over 6 years, but I enjoy being in front of a camera on my down time.

What do you like about being Latino?
What I like about being Latina, is being able enjoy the culture. The music, the food, the people. Everything and everyone is so different, it’s amazing!
What are your favorite colors?

My favorite colors would have to be grey and black.

What are your favorite brand of clothes?

I really don’t have a favorite brand of clothing. If I see something I really like, regardless of the brand/price I’ll buy it.

What’s your favorite style?

My favorite style would have to be something that I’m comfortable in but can play around with it. More casual than anything.

What are the items you always carry in your purse?

The five items I always carry in my purse are: lipstick/lipgloss, floss, gum, bodyspray, lotion.

I really like JLo’s sense of style. When it comes to getting all glammed up, I can relate. And even on her not so glamorous days, she still makes anything look great!

Who was your role model growing up and how does that influence who you are today?

My role model growing up would always be my mom. She always showed me character, humility, and a sense of determination and responsibility! I am what I am today, because of her.

What is your favorite Latino Dish?

My favorite Latino dish would have to be Chiles Rellenos! I can never have enough!

What is a good life lesson that you would like to share with others?

One good life lesson I’ve learned is to not live your life for others. Sometimes it’s good to be a little selfish and think about yourself. You can’t many anyone else happy if you’re not happy with yourself. You only live once, so make the best of it!
